Adults only. Please respect our wishes to create a festive event for all parents to enjoy themselves by arranging childcare separately.

Please vaccinate. The 2023 COVID booster is now available. For the safety of our loved ones, please schedule an appointment to get boosted before the wedding. The CDC even has a fun website:

Wedding Party

We are delighted to share this day with our siblings (and Tony).

Dress Code

Formal attire (no tuxedos). We hope to provide a fun opportunity to put on your favorite fancy clothes. You'll be in an art museum; think Met Gala, but San Diego.

Dress codes are tricky things. Opinions differ, and conventions shift. This article got kind of of close to answering “what is formal wedding attire?” Darker tones, Longer-length dresses, suits with ties, and dancing shoes are ideal!

Registry

Your attendance is a cherished gift. Come celebrate with us and know that we are grateful for that alone. Truly!

Optionally, a small selection of household objects are on a registry from Heath Ceramics — the better to cook you dinner when you visit us in our home.

In lieu of a gift, we would love — and prefer — a donation in our honor to either of these wonderful charities:

GiveWell

Ben Hughes, who was instrumental in nudging us into charitable giving, had this to say about GiveWell:

GiveWell is a charity researcher that rigorously evaluates giving opportunities based on how much good a given program accomplishes (in terms of lives saved, lives improved, etc.) per dollar spent. They operate a Top Charities Fund to direct funds to these organizations. Typically they fund things like medicine and bed nets to prevent malaria (which kills over 600,000 people every year, mostly children under 5 in sub-Saharan Africa), vitamin A supplementation for children, and cash incentives to encourage routine childhood vaccination in Nigeria. They estimate that about $5,000 will result in one life saved.

We can't put it better than that.

Planned Parenthood

We are passionate about unrestricted access to healthcare and reproductive rights for every woman. Planned Parenthood continues to lead in this arena. Two generations have been raised with the knowledge, safety, and confidence they can access information and care to exert control over their own bodies … until now. Supporting Planned Parenthood is more vital than ever.
